These growth charts sell for $48 on www.thebellacottage.com. I think I can make my own for a lot less. And it would be a super cute idea for baby showers or baby gifts too. I'll be sure to post my own once I finish it. I'm pretty excited to get started so I'll probably be making a trip to Hobby Lobby and the hardware store tomorrow.
Here is another craft I did for super cheap. Nursery letters similar to these cost around $12 per letter if you buy them. I made these for a total of $10. I had a lot of fun making them to fit the safari animal theme that Kyler's nursery seemed to take on.
Another thing I want to make for Kyler's room is a plaque with a bedtime prayer. I had something like that when I was little and I think I could come up with something really cute using a Noah's ark theme to fit in with his nursery decor. A lot of the ones I have seen online are sort of tacky or too plain.
Maybe if my next craft projects turn out well I will start an Etsy store and start selling custom handmade nursery/children's decor. I'll keep you updated!
