Football Season!

Summer is my favorite season by far. I love being outside. And I really love being in the water. And I don't mind the heat and humidity all that much. So the only good thing I can see about summer ending is that football season is starting up!

B & Vegas Baby - Every Man A Wildcat

College football is one of our favorite things in the whole wide world. We can't get enough of it around here. B and I have season tickets to the Kansas State games and every year we take a road trip (usuallly to the state of Texas) to at least one game. We would even like to go to an SEC game just to see some great college football and neither of us have any allegiance to any SEC schools.

Annual Zubaz Tailgate

The year before we got engaged, B got me tickets to the Alamo Bowl (Nebraska vs. Michigan). I was soooo excited! When I started to tell my family what he got me, they thought it would be an engagement ring. When I pulled my hand from behind my back and showed them the tickets they were a little confused, and some were pretty jealous. I told B that they were better than an engagement ring - only because I could get that any old time and there was only one chance to see that game. :)

2009 Big XII Championship - Cowboys Stadium

Last year we got tickets to the Big XII Championship game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. We booked our hotel room before we even knew who would be playing - it was a toss up between K-State and Nebraska so we knew we would go either way. Plus, we really wanted to see the stadium. Everyone should go there once, that screen is crazy huge! The best part was that those Huskers shocked us and played Texas hard, losing at the very last second. It was a heartbreaker but made for a very good and memorable game. And all the Husker fans there were very proud of their team, especially Suh!

Our only disagreement is that I am a huge Nebraska fan. Yes, I even cheer against my alma mater when they are playing the Huskers. And B is a die hard K-State fan. Poor Vegas Baby. He is sure to disappoint his dad one of these days.
